Leon's Final Grief

The world is softer; simpler and emptier. She left a hole that tore the sky open. The earth crumbles where she is buried beneath it - it rejects the damaged evil child, but grieves at the loss of her purity. Her raw emotion and her tragic life.
Leon is a shadow once again. A worthless casing with nothing to fill it. Internal organs gutted out, mind lost completely to an abandoned insanity; and free of any heart at all. And did Violet leave behind faded footsteps? Or trail to where he might follow? No, never. She had promised to keep a sign for him, she had sworn she would not leave him without a way he could follow. Even after he spent years chasing her, catching her, losing her, leaving her, then returning like a lost beast - she now has left him without anything. It has been years - probably - he cannot follow any concept of time. All that remains is that child. The one Leon will never be able to touch again.
The overcasts move and change from the view of where Leon lies. Sprawled out on the planked flooring, the icy draft creeping through the cracks in the wood. Dust and memories surround him; they threaten to drown him in their whirling torrent. But Leon feels no care to resist them, he lets them crowd out his mind and pool within his black innards. He wants to feel nothing but Violet's loneliness and the sorrow she gifted him with. The sweet agony that destroys all other of his senses and lets him remember the last faint visions of her. But her eyes! Those awful dark eyes that would pierce his soul and drag him desperate to her feet. He sees them in the dim lit room, glaring at him within the shadows, coming close to his face as if her beautiful intense irises could devour him in entirety.
Violet..he whispers to the emptiness. He has called her name so many times but with no prevail, yet he never stops searching for a response even in the smallest way. And sometimes she visits him; sometimes in his sleep, sometimes in the light of day. Traces of her, the last remains of her in this world. He fights to keep the sights of her vivid, for fear she will leave completely. As if she never existed. The thought terrifies Leon, he could not bear a place without Violet's existence. Even the few visitations are only just enough for him to keep his sanity - although Leon believes it has long since passed him.
The light in her eyes is brighter this time, her flickering pupils gaze into Leon's face. Searching, probably looking for some recognition of the man she once knew. Alike a sickling, Leon is wrenched from his former self. A crooked posture and sullen dull features are all that is still there; a far cry from the handsome aspiring youth that lived so many years ago. That boy perished when Violet died.
