The light I felt burned through
me.
The glowing sun scalded my flesh.
I felt happiness melt to my
skin,
It moulded around the bone,
It burrowed its way home.
It held me there, clouded and
choked.
Surrounded by the impulse;
The light was so beautiful.
I saw your face, your eyes that
simmered.
The bubble inside grew larger,
fit to burst.
This time it wasn’t black
within, it glowed –
Blue shine like a winter lake’s
shattered ice.
I felt held in time, this place
was mine.
