Maybe Never Better (Rage)

I was blinded to her rage. The terrible cage that held in her mind.

And I loathed the girl, the seed, and the tiny little flower yet to bloom.

Her desperation and pathetic nature, her endless worthlessness –

She meant nothing to the house of cards, nothing apart from glue that

Stretched and would slowly dry and crumble away to nothing.

Blood would seal the bond, link the fingertips and take away some pain.

The heart hurt as the words were chanted, the mind screamed in protest –

Wretched to the core, shrieking for mercy and some sweet sense of relief.

Mother, beautiful spectre and radiant creature; the guardian of all –

Please protect me, please help me and give me strength to escape the cycle.

Trapped, in shackles that dig so deep that they forms cuts deep in her flesh;

Like a tragic beast – the soft casing so cruelly penetrated by martyrized guilt.

And tore apart by the accusations that swam through her head everyday

Trying to tell her to leave, to escape and take the short way out.

No use, empty and a vacant carcase. Left for dead.
