Frozen

Life often feels like an endless dream –

Pointless events that have no means.

The pain that drained me sliced right through,

Taking the memories I thought I knew.

Again I wished I had another beside me

But never a clear spirit could let me be.

To hold my hand, to clutch me close,

To say the words I never spoke.

The places within I wanted to hide

The sealed- in worlds I could climb inside.

And every whisper that drowned my words

Fell from the sky like frozen birds.
