When weary words don't mean a thing.
And your complaints are just getting old.
Hold your resolve, steel your nerve.
Find your metal.
Beat back the voices and barricade the doors.
Only to keep in the overflow, not defend your position.
Because you're no longer afraid.
Darkly laughing and bitter tasting.
But alive and kicking.
Always fighting, and finding humour with a razor edge.
Your position dimly lit, but you shine from within.
Brighter than they ever dulled you.
Hotter than a flame that smouldered for years.
But it doesn't burn you out, it doesn't cave in the structure.
It burnt you to coal yet the embers still flicker.
No more fear and now stronger than ever
